Abstract

Objective The DE2 board has strong ability for digital signal processing. It works with high speed AD/DA daughter board necessarily when processing high speed analog signals. The existing daughter board is expensive and its sampling rate is not high enough, so it is needful to develop a special high speed AD/ DA daughter board. Methods The daughter board was developed based on the expansion ports of the DE2 board, AD with AD9230, and DA with AD9708. AD9517 was used to satisfy the high quality clock signal in high speed conversion. The daughter board was produced by double-face board to reduce costs. Results The results indicated that the daughter board could sample high speed analog signals and output high quality analog signals with DE2. Conclusions The development of high speed AD/DA daughter board was successful and fit for the application of high speed analog signal processing.
