Active Voltage Balancing Circuit for the IGBTs Series Connection Based on Enhanced Miller Effect

Abstract
In order to address multiple ICBT in series voltage imbalance problem, which caused by device driver signal is inconsistent, and achieve application of series ICBT in high power and high voltage. Combining the advantage of series auxiliary circuit at IGBT power side and gate side, a balancing auxiliary circuit of IGBT series active voltage of approach based on enhanced Miller effect has been put forward, and the operation principle has been discussed. Then, IGBT series simulation circuits are established, both without and with the balancing auxiliary circuit are simulated. Simulation results show that during IGBT series operating, the balancing auxiliary circuit not only to be able to work well with suppression the imbalanced voltages caused by IGBT drive signal inconsistency, but also can effectively prevent the overvoltage, thus ensures the security of IGBT series operation.关键词
