Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression of the receptor for advanced glycation end products ( RAGE ) in protein levels of diabetic foot( DF )patients. Method: 25 patients of diabetic foot were collected in accordance with inclusive criteria, 21 cases of patients with diabetes alone, and 20 cases surgical patients with out diabetes. The expression levels of RAGE in serum were detected by the method of ELISA. The foot skin tissue samples of patients were collected, and the RAGE protein expression levels of foot skin tissues were detected by Western blot. Result: In the serum of all patients, the RAGE were positive; and it could be found in both normal skin and diabetic foot ulcer tissues of non-diabetic and diabetic patients. The expressions of RAGE in the serum of DF patients were significant higher than other two groups. The protein expressive levels of RAGE in foot ulcer tissues of DF patient were significant higher than in the skin of other two groups. Conclusion: The RAGE expression in DF patients was significantly higher, it may be closely related to the occurrence and development of DF ulcer. RAGE may be a new therapeutic target for DF patient, and it has a positive meaning for the clinical treatment of DF.关键词
