摘要

Abstract

For mitigating the orbital debris caused by battery explosion, a study is conducted on the passivation technique for hydrogen-nickel batteries widely used on spacecraft. The explosion mechanism of hydrogenrnickel batteries is analyzed firstly, then a targeted security design is proposed for the batteries, and an explosion experiment is carried out including over charge and over discharge. A passivation device is developed and the battery passivation test is carried out.
