摘要

Abstract

Ti6Al4V alloy is an important material in modern industry. Its exceptional properties,such as high strength-weight rati o.high temperature stability and outstanding corrosion resistance,make it widely used in the oceaneering,aerospace,automobile, chemical and biomedical fields. However,poor machinability using the traditional mechanical cutting process results in high tool-ing costs. Therefore, nontraditional machining methods, such as Electrical Discharge Machining ( EDM) have been explored to machine this alloy. The technology characteristic and up-to-date development of Ti alloy machined by die-sinking EDM, wirr EDM,Electron-Spark Deposition (ESD) technology are introduced,some suggestions are proposed, which are the important refer-ence for the future's deep research.
