Abstract
Objective To explore the risk factors in incidence of femoral atheromatous plaques in elderly type 2 diabetic patients. Methods 186 elderly type 2 diabetic patients were divided into two groups based on whether they had femoral atheromatous plaques by color doppler ultrasonography. The age, gender, diabetic duration, body mass index (BMI) , blood pressure (SBP and DBP) , fasting plasma glucose (FPG) , postprandial glucose (PPG) ,glyco-sylated hemoglobin( HbA1c) ,cholesterol(TC) , triglyceride( TG) ,high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) ,low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) ,Apolipoprotein A1(ApoA1) ,Apolipoprotein B(ApoB)and C-reactive protein (CRP)of all patients were measured. Results The prevalence rate of femoral plaque was 83. 3% (155/186). Age, diabetic duration,SBP,FPG,PPG,HbA,c, TG, ApoB and CRP were significantly higher in plaques group than those without plaque group (P < 0. 05). Logistic analysis showed that age, gender, diabetic duration, SBP, PPG, TG and CRP were independent risk factors for incidence of femoral atheromatous plaques in elderly type 2 diabetic patients (P<0.05). Conlusions Femoral atheromatous plaques in elderly type 2 diabetic patients are resulted from many risk factors. Earlier intervention and controlling these factors will have clinic value for prevention and treatment macro-vascular diseases of type 2 diabetes.关键词
