Abstract

Monthly global solar radiation data of 5 radiation observation stations and monthly sunlight percentage data of 110 meteorological stations from 1961 to 2008 in south China region, monthly and annual global solar radiation were calculated, and spatiotemporal variation characteristics of total solar radiation are analyzed. The results show that the characteristics of regional distribution are that annual total solar radiation in southern part is more than in northern part, which in valley and plain is more than in mountain area The total solar radiation presented to decrease significantly from 1961 to 2008. The phasic variation characteristics of total solar radiation are comparatively obvious, which are undulate decreasing from 1960s to the middle of 1990s and recover a bit in the late 1990s.
