摘要

Abstract

With the development of renewable energy power generation, microgrid,which integrates distributed generations, is considered as an effective way to meet the growing power demand, and economize the investment and improve energy efficiency. As a necessary energy buffer, energy storage system plays an increasingly important role. This paper summarizes the characteristics and performance of battery energy storage system (BESS) ,and outlines its applications in microgrid. Energy storage system based on battery, is an energy buffer, can supply for a short time, suppress load fluctuations, improve the power quality, and play an important role on the economic performance of microgrid.
