Abstract
In order to improve the composite insulator production as well as its operation and maintenance, this paper analyzes a fracture of polymeric insulator string on 500 kV Louping-Baise transmission line with various experiments, pointing out that the fracture is not a brittle breaking, but due to the rod and sheath corrosion damage and aging aggravated by partial discharge in the interface in a long term, and giving comments and suggestions for the composite insulator operation and maintenance.关键词
