摘要

Abstract

The distribution characteristics of arsenic at different depths in the soil were investigated based on the collected soil samples at the sewage irrigation area in Shijiazhuang. The result shows that the vertical distribution of arsenic in the soil is mostly influenced by the soil stickiness. The content of arsenic varies abruptly at the border between the sand and soil,and it is higher in the cohesive soil than that in the sand. Moreover,arsenic accumulates in the depth of 1. 5 to 3 m of the soil based on the vertical distribution. The aeration zone has a certain degree of self-purification capability and environmental capacity. In the study area,the aeration zone consists mainly of the cohesive soil with low permeability and strong adsorbability. Therefore, the aeration zone in the study area has a high capability to prevent the potential pollutions of arsenic into groundwater.
