Discussion of Values of Dominant Orientations of Random Fractures based on Probability Models

Abstract
Random fracture is a small size structure plane and occurs widely in the rock mass. Due to its random development, the orientation and size of the random fracture are difficult to determine. However, previous research showed that the structure plane of the random fracture has a certain statistical rule under the same geological environment in the same regioa The probability model is used to evaluate the values of the dominant orientations of the random fracture group at the left bank of the dam of the hydropower station located in the granite area. According to the analysis of the probability curve obtained from the established probability model, the peak value on the probability curve is more reasonable to represent the best fracture orientation than the arithmetic mean of the samples.关键词
