摘要

Abstract

Through systematically organizing the related literatures of the study about the stagnation point, this paper summarizes the main progress of the study about the stagnation point through different approaches which are the measured data, mathematical models and physical models, Then, in chronological order, it analyses the trends of the location of the stagnation point in each time. The analysis suggests that the location of the stagnation point did not change its range over years, but sailed upstream and downstream under different flow conditions. This paper has great significance in understanding the hydrodynamic changes in the Yangtze Estuary under the influence of the engineering works.
