Abstract

A main pest (Carposina niponensis Wals. ) was heavily damaged in jujube orchard in Lingwu city during jujube growing season in recent years. The results showed that the occurrence regulation of the pest have the significant relationship with the main meteorological factors. Based on SPSS, the First-date, the Outset of peak-date and the Peak-date were investigated. The forecast model was built and indicated the critical period with Integrated Pest Management. The First-date was in proportion to effective accumulated temperature in March and April, the Peak-date to average humidity and effective accumulated temperature in March and April, the rainfall in June affects significantly on the Peak-date. The quantity of the adult had significant correlation with the average humidity in June. A regression equation for Peak-date for the adult was established using effective accumulated temperature, average humidity and the rainfall. The regression can provide a mid-long range forecasting the Peak-date 30 to 45 days in advance. The first day when the adult was entrapped is an important indicator; it is the pivotal day for chemical controlling of the pest on the floor. The optimum day was approached for a week after the Peak-date on the tree, the First-date and the Peak-date can provide reliable guarantee and an effective measure for control of pests.
