Effects of Aluminum Phosphide on Soil Microbial Population and Enzyme Activities

Abstract
Effects of aluminum phosphide (0.1, 1 mg·g-1 and 10 mg·g-1) on soil microbial population and enzyme activities were studied under laboratory control condition. The results indicated that, all concentrations of aluminum phosphide had inhibitory effect on soil bacteria, fungi and actinomyces and the inhibitory effect was more obvious with concentration increased. However, the effect caused by low concentration (0.1 mg·g-1) returned to the control level after a period of treatment. Aluminum phosphide had inhibitory effect on soil urease, and the inhibitory effect increased with the increasing concentration. Low concentration of aluminum phosphide had no significant inhibitory effect on soil invertase, while the treatment with the highest concentration (10 mg·g-1) had the greatest inhibition all the time. All concentrations of aluminum phosphide had inhibitory or stimulatory effect on soil hydrogen peroxidase in the early stage, while the effect returned to the control level on 30 days after treatment. The present data supported the conclusion that aluminum phosphide at the routine dose had certain effect on soil microbial population and enzyme activities, but the effect disappeared and recovered to the control level after a period.关键词
