An Improved Mobile Beacon Assisted Node Localization Algorithm Based on Bounding Box

Abstract
Aimming at the node localization problem in wireless sensor networks, an algorithm using a single mobile beacon is proposed. Based on the traditional Bounding-Box localization method, the actual communication area of the mobile beacon is considered and the concept of "O-area" and "S-area" are proposed in the algorithm. New location information from the mobile beacon is classified and the potential area of unknown node is reduced. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm had better performance than the centroid method and Bounding-Box method, and its localization accuracy is related to the communicating radius of the mobile beacon.关键词
