摘要

Abstract

To study the effect of alginate on the reproductive system of the lead poisoning Wistar rats, the following methods was taken; 1) normal control group, After 1 week's exposure to lead, the Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups; 2) model group(0. 3%Pb(AC)2); 3) Penicillamine group(90mg · Kg-1) 4)high-dose alginate group(200 mg · Kg-1); 5) middle-dose alginate group( 100 mg · Kg-1); 6) low-dose alginate group(50mg · Kg-1). After 1 month treatment, blood lead, genital weight, sperm activity, sperm deformity rate and endocrine function impact were measured. Results show that alginate can lower the blood lead in Wistar rats, improve the epididymis and testis index(P<0. 05), lower sperm deformity and mortality(P<0. 05) , and improve T, FSH levels(P<0. 05). The alginate has a protective effect on the reproductive system in Wistar rats with lead poisoning, and is expected to develop into a natural and low toxicity protection medicine to treat lead poisoning.
