Abstract
The key pathogenesis of chest discomfort is that exogenous disease or internal damage leads to the syndrome of blockage of heart vessel. It happens to heart, however it is highly related with the disorder of liver, spleen and kidney, because the normal heart function relies on three factors, which are liver controlling conveyance and dispersion, spleen governing transportation and transformation and kidney storing essence. To treat chest discomfort, many doctors prefer to follow treatment rules, such as tonifying Qi and Yin, promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis, cleaning sputum and so on. However, Doctor LU has not been limited by traditional treatment. He takes on an overall view, makes good use of the relation between organs and treats in a dialectical way, in order to cure the disease by roots. He takes advantages of overall treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine to cure both body and mind by dealing with inside and outside of one' s body, using both acupuncture , medicine and combining food and medicine. He thinks highly of the Treatise on Spleen and Stomach and science of epidemic febrile disease, and has developed the treatment to cure heart discomfort through taking good care of one' s spleen and stomach.
