An Analysis and Evaluation of Sustainable Capability of Different Districts of Shanghaiai

Abstract
This paper takes 16 districts of Shanghai as study objects and comprehensively evaluates their sustainable capability by the means of principal component analysis and cluster analysis. In the evaluation process, we built up the index system based on aspects (of economics, social and environment) and adopt the 2010 statistical yearbook data. Finally, we divide the sustainable capability into three levels a-mong these districts. In conclusion, we found that Pudong District is the highest level and forms the first developing level. Shanghai's Suburban areas such as Minhang District and Songjiang District form the second level. Central districts as Huangpu District and Xuhui District form the third level. Based on these, we give some suggestions on the improvement of the sustainable development level of different districts.关键词
