摘要

Abstract

Jisha Hydropower Station is diversion-type developed with high head, low flow and long diversion distance. Theproject has a longer diversion tunnel, deeper surge shaft and high-pressure penstock. The layout and design of surge shaft isthe key of diversion system design as well as the safe and stable operation of the station. The surge shaft design is studiedfrom the aspects of location selection, type selection and hydraulics and structural calculations for guarantying the safety ofproject.
