摘要

Abstract

The design peak seismic acceleration within the site area of Dagangshan Hydropower Station is to reach 557. 5 cm/s2 with a complicated law of seismic dynamic response, moreover, the maximum height of the arch dam for the hydropower station is to be 210 m. Therefore, a systematic and comprehensive seismic study on the dam is just made during the phase of the earlystage investigation and design for the project, and then, the related seismic problems are clarified and the relevant engineering countermeasures to be adopted therein can meet the seismic requirements for the feasibility study concerned as well. Therefore, the seismic safety of the arch dam for Dagangshan Hydropower Station can be surely guaranteed.
