Study on Biological Characteristics of Fusicoccum Aesculi

摘要

Abstract

Influence on mycelial growth and conidial germination of Fusicoccum aesculi measured in different conditions was stated in this research to reveal the characteristics of this strain. Results showed that the pathogen could grow best in peptone broth, and its mycelia could grow fastest in the media which is filled with sucrose and KNO3 as carbon and nitrogen sources respectively. Normally, the mycelia could grow at a temperature scale of 27 ~ 31℃, and it always could get the fastest augmentation at 31℃. Photoperiod had little influence on its growth, and at 24L or 12L/12D, it grew well. By comparison , the perfect growth temperature for the germination of conidia was 30-35℃ and pH was 6 , and the globule is the exclusive germination environment. Be similar to the former, light also had little effect on conidial germination, but ifs clearly that the germination rate is higher in dark than light.
