Abstract
[Objective] To compare the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with strength training of muscle and acupuncture on knee osteoarthritis (OA). [Methods] Sixty patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into two groups: 30 cases in the treatment group were treated by acupuncture combined with strength training of muscle, and other 30 cases in the control group were treated by acupuncture only. The improvement of symptoms and signs and curative effect of two groups before and after treatment were compared. [Results] The effective rate in treatment group was better than that in control group (P<0.05). After treatment the pain feeling, function, activity, muscle strength and stability of two groups were significantly improved that of the compared with that before treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the score of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.01). [Conclusion] Acupuncture combined with strength training of muscle is effective on KOA. It has good clinical application value.关键词
