Abstract

Some of the wells in Block Zhuangl39 deep heavy oil reservoir experienced high steam injection pressure, so the steam injection quality could not be guaranteed, leading to the declined cyclic oil production. Therefore the technique of DCS (oil soluble compounded viscosity reducer (dissolver) + CO2 assisted CSS) was studied and applied in the paper. Based on the reservoir characteristics of Block Zhuangl39, the dosage of viscosity reducer and CO2 and steam injection volume were optimized, reducing the operation cost by about 50%. The field application results indicate that the technique can effectively improve the utilization ratio of steam, decrease the steam injection pressure, increase oil/steam ratio and production. It has been tested in 4 wells in Block Zhuangl39 deep heavy oil reservoir, achieving good results with cumulated incremental oil production of more than 8 000 tons.
