摘要

Abstract

Many algorithms were presented to rendering 3D cloud, but most of them are difficult to compute, and cannot meet the demandof real-time rendering in flight simulation. An efficient rendering method is proposed for rendering of clouds. The method creates imagesof clouds processing photo realism by taking into account the single scattering of light. Considering the light attenuations in both the sundirection from the sun and the viewing direction,using a method called shadow-view slices( SVS) calculate the attenuations to renderingthe cloud. The result indicates the method provides a better 3D cloud rendering, and it can meet the demands of flight simulation and otherfields.
