Dispersion analysis of gyro-TWT with helical operating waveguide in Ku band

摘要

Abstract

In order to restrain self-oscillation and increase bandwidth of gyro-TWT, G. Denisov and his colleague advanced a new gyro-TWT with a helical operating waveguide. By the special structure of gyro-TWT with helical operating waveguide, two kinds of modes coupling a new work mode when they through the spiral waveguide to change the dispersion and to restrain self-oscillation and increase bandwidth. The dispersion curve is analyzed through the dispersion equation, and the advantages of spiral waveguide as the high-frequency system of gyro-TWT are discussed.
