摘要

Abstract

A low-sirlclobe circularly-polarized microstrip array antenna used in road side unit (RSU) for electronic toll collection (ETC) was designed. In order to achieve the effect of low-sidelobe circular polarization and low axial ratio, two microstrip antenna units was modified with the rotation and phase compensation methods to reduce axial ratio. The improved two units is taken as a radiative unit to make a microstrip antenna array, whose amplitude distribution is based on DolphChebyshev. The simulation and measured results indicate that the antenna has the effect of low-sidelobe and circular polarization. The antenna system has a good theoretical and practical significance for ETC and other similar antenna systems.
