Abstract

In order to analyze the relationship between Mx\ gene polymorphisms and the immune performance in Liaoning pigs, we extracted DNA from pig ear tissues. By the PCR-RFLP method, the polymorphisms of Mx\ gene were detected in Hebao and Large White pigs. ELISA was used to measure the levels of IFN-a, IL-4 and SIgA in the two populations. The analysis results showed that Mx1 gene digested by restriction endonuclease HinSl only in Hebao pigs was divided into three kinds of genotypes of AA, AB and BB, and the frequencies of genotypes were 0. 6814, 0. 0619 and 0. 2566, respectively. In addition, the ELISA data of Hebao pigs were higher than Large White as a whole, and the fluctuation range was large. The results showed that higher immunity and much more resistance genotypes of Mil exsisted in Hebao pigs than those in Large White. Our finding provided the scientific basis for the resource preservation, variety breeding and the development and utilization of Hebao pigs.
