摘要
Abstract
Objective: To investigate the differences of bone metabolism index in elderly male patients with osteoporosis, who were treated by intravenous Zoledronic acid, a new generation bisphosphonate, and Ibandronate.Method: Sixty elderly male patients with osteoporosis were enrolled. After the treatment of calcium carbonate-D 0. 6 g/d and calcitriol capsules 0. 25 μg/d, all patients were given 2 mg Ibandronate intravenous infusion once a month, then blood was collected. After three months, all patients were divided into two groups. Ibandronate Group was still given 2 mg intravenous infusion, and Zoledronic acid Group 5 mg was given intravenous Zoledronic acid treatment. Three months later, blood samples were collected again. Levels of parathyroid hormone, collagen degradation p-fragment, calcitonin, osteocalcin, serum phosphorus and serum calcium of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Result:①After treatment, levels of parathyroid hormone and β-decomposition of collagen fragments decreased significantly when compared with those before treatment ( P < 0. 05) , while levels of calcitonin, osteocalcin, serum phosphorus and serum calcium showed no significant difference before and after treat-ment. ② After treatment, the levels of parathyroid hormone and β-decomposition of collagen fragments were significant lower in Zoledronic acid Group when compared to Ibandronate Group ( P < 0. 05). The level of calcium was lower in Zoledronic acid Group too, but showed no statistical significance. Conclusion; In short-term, intravenous Zoledronic acid may strongly suppress levels of parathyroid hormone and p-fragment in elderly male with osteoporosis comparing to Ibandronate.关键词
