A Nonlinear Holding Cost Model of Perishable Goods
摘要
Abstract
This paper adopts an exponential function model to describe the cost-holding time relationship of perishable goods. Firstly we calculate optimized order quantity under the basic assumptions, then we set up three additional scenarios for this model and give optimized cost functions under these varied assumptions. Finally through a computer simulation experiment, we evaluate the exponential model the comparing to the classic EOQ model in both economical efficiency perspective and time efficiency perspective.关键词
