Abstract

Configuration of steam-driven draft fan system was introduced, the adjusting functions and the energy-saving performance of the stream driven draft fans as well as the problems encountered in its actual operation were analyzed, eventually, some relevant solutions were proposed. Due to the impact of external load, the million-kilowatt unit designed in accordance with its base-load by Huaneng Haimen Power Plant frequently varies between 400 MW and 1036 MW in a day. It is necessary to optimize the opening of stator blades in steam-driven draft fans and the coordination of rotational speeds among small stream turbines in the whole unit. Through practice, the whole control strategy of steam-driven draft fans of 1036 MW unit in Huaneng Haimen Power Plant was optimized. Not only the security of instant run bank for failures the steam-driven draft fans but also the instant reaction ability to the furnace negative pressure was enhanced and improved. Meanwhile, the logically modified stator blades of steam-driven draft fans runs basically within the maximum efficiency area of draft fans. Thus, the aim of deepening the energy conservation of stream-driven draft fans was achieved. It is of great referential value for the design and logical optimization of steam-driven fan system.
