Study on Compatibility Stability of Ceftizoxime Sodium for Injection and Vitamin B6 Injection

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the compatibility stability of Ceftizoxime sodium for injection and Vitamin B6 injection. METHODS: 0.9% Sodium chloride injection and 5% Glucose injection were used as solvent in clinical simulated drug use. The appearance change of mixture was observed within 24 h after the two drugs in different concentrations were mixed, and HPLC was used to determine the content change of main composition. RESULTS: At room temperature (25℃), the two drugs produced a great number of white precipitate after compatibility; the main component was significantly reduced. CONCLUSION: There is incompatibility between the two drugs. The results of study are not in line with the conclusion that the mixture is stable in 5% Glucose solution in other literature reports. The conclusion that there is no drugs incompatibility in compatibility of Ceftizoxime sodium with Vitamin B6 injection hasn't been described exactly in Retrieval Table for Clinical Application Compatibility of 400 TCM and Western Medicine Injections.关键词
