Abstract
Objective; To evaluate clinical curative effect of acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine on post - herpetic neuralgia ( PHN ). Methods: 45 patients of PHN were randomly divided into treatment group ( n = 22 ) treated by inserting Huatuo Jiaji point, surrounding puncture, and oral administration of Chinese med-icine and control group ( n = 23 ) given oral use of pregabalin capsule, capsaicin ointment and mecobalamin for muscular injection. The treatment lasted for 15 days and then the clinical curative effect was assessed by variation of visual analogue scale scores ( VAS) after treatment. Results: In treatment group, the cure rate was 45. 4% and total effective rate was 95.5% , while in control group, the rates were 26.1% and 78. 3% respectively. The difference of total effective rate showed a statistical significance in the two groups ( P＜0. 05 ). Conclusion; A better curative effect on post - herpetic neuralgia is reached by combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicinal compared with that of control group. Therefore, it is worth widely extending.关键词
