Abstract

The breaking efficiency of fracturing fluid has a direct influence on the flow back of the fracturing fluid and the production after fracturing. In condition of low temperature, the broken time mainly depends on the rates of ammonium persulfate dissolution and producing oxygen free radical. In this paper, the effects of temperature, pH value and reduction activator on the dissolution rate of ammonium persulfate are researched. It is optimized that NaOH and citric acid (20%) control the pH value (the best is 8) and the activator concentration is 0.3%, which contributes to shorten the broken time and improve the production of the oil and gas wells.
