Abstract
The sliding wear tests of cast steel were carried out on a pin-on-disc high-temperature wear machine. The microstructure and the grain size of the pin specimens from different depth layers under the grinding surface were examined using TEM, SEM and XRD. The changes of the microstructure for the cast steel before and after the wear test were studied. The results show that the microstructure for the three types of tempered structures change apparently along the longitudinal section after the wear test. A plastic deformation layer and an equiaxed grain layer from recrystallization are formed. The wear behavior for cast steel is extremely influenced by the processes of work hardening and high-temperature softening, and these two processes are affected by the microstructure and the wear situation.关键词
