Study on Mechanical Properties and Heat Treatment Process of Die-Cast A380 Alloy

Abstract
Die casting experiments were conducted to study the influence of process parameters on mechanical properties of A3 80 alloy by means of density measurement, mechanical properties tests and microstructure analysis. The influence of heat treatment process on the mechanical properties of die-cast A3 80 alloy was also investigated. The results show that with the increase of the fast shot speed and the casting pressure, the density and tensile strength of A3 80 alloy increase; the slow shot phase has a great influence on the mechanical properties and by appropriate selection of the slow shot phase parameters, the die-cast A80 alloy can reach a tensile strength of 365 MPa and an elongation of 4.2%. A rational solution treatment process combined with an appropriate low temperature ageing can improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of die-cast A3 80 alloy further to a tensile strength of 394 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa and an elongation of 7.8%.关键词
