摘要

Abstract

Aimed at the problems such as big dead zone, week surface-directed flow, insufficient flotation of inclusions and so on, the dam structure was optimized by water model experiment. The results show that, using the higher dam with upward holes and gas curtain in tundish, the dead zone in pouring region and behind dams can effectively be eliminated which decline by 46%, the fluid flow through dam also shows a strong upward trend, minimum residence time is increased by 23% and the peak time by 16%. The industrial test proved that the inclusion content decrease from 14.4 mg/10 kg to 6.64mg/10kg with optimized flow control devices.
