Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of EMMPRIN and MMP-7 in oral squamous cell carcinoma( OSCC ). Methods The expressions of EMMPRIN and MMP-7 were examined by SP immunohisto-chemical method stain( IHC ) in 62 cases of OSCC and 11 cases of normal tissues. The MMP-7 mRNA expression was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR ) in 18 cases of OSCC and 5 cases of normal tissues. Results The positive ratio of EMMPRIN in OSCC was significantly higher than that in normal tissues ( P <0. 05 ). The positive ratio of MMP-7 in OSCC was higher than that in normal tissues( P <0. 05 ). The MMP-7 mRNA expression in OSCC was higher than that in normal tissues( P < 0. 05 ). The EMMPRIN expression was significantly associated with tumor diameter, clinical stage and the lymph node in the samples. The MMP-7 expression was significantly related with clinical stage and the lymph node, and neither of them was correlated with sex, age. EMMPRIN level was positively related to MMP-7 level( r = 0. 801 ). Conclusion EMMPRIN and MMP-7 play an important role in the genesis, development, invasion and metastasis of OSCC.关键词
