Abstract
Objective To establish a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC )method for determining the contents of 4,8-Dihydroxy-1-tetralone in the hull of Carya cathayensis Sarg. Methods The HPLC determination was carried out on a Shim -pack C18 (250 mm × 416 mm , 5 μm ) column with mobile phase of methanol-water (40:60 ) , flow rate of 0 .8 ml/min , column temperature of 25 ℃ , and detection wavelength of 333 nm . Results The concentration of 4 ,8-dihydroxy-1-tetralone had a good linear relationship with the peak area within the range from 1 .13 to 20 .34 μg/ml (r= 0 .999 9) . The average recovery was 101.8% , and relative standard deviation was 1.21% ( n= 6). Conclusion The established HPLC method can be used for determining the contents of 4 ,8-dihydroxy-1-tetralone in the hull of Carya cathayensis Sarg because of its accuracy , reliability , stability , and good reproducibility .关键词
