On the Training of College Students＇ English Logical Thinking Ability
摘要
Abstract
With first-handed statistics from Chinese ESL classroom,the author of this paper analyzes the supra-linguistic reasons of Chinglish logic in the compositions of non-English majors.The logical problems such as absence of a central idea,inadequate argumentation and lack of coherence can be attributed to students＇ ignorance of the different thinking patterns of the Chinese and the native speakers of English.Practical teaching strategies are proposed in the hope of enhancing the learners＇ awareness of this issue and hopefully their performance of English writing.关键词
