摘要

Abstract

With 300 mmol/L NaCl stress,the physiological and biochemical indexes,including chlorophyll,proline and MDA content,and antioxidase activity,of T1 transgenic alfalfa transformed with Rhizophora apic-ulata total DNA by the pollen-tube pathway,were investigated.The transgenic plantlets had a reduced chlorophyll content of 0.09 -0.29 times,but the non-transgenic plant had 0.32 times.The proline content of transgenic plantlets was enhanced by 1.2 to 4.2 times,but for non-transgenic plant it was 0.9 times.The increased proportion of MDA content was 0.15 -0.29 times in transgenic plantlets compared with 0.36 times for non-transgenic plant.However,the transgenic plantlets had increased SOD activity (0.20-0.25 times) compared with the non-transgenic plant (0.19 times).The POD and CAT activity of the transgenic plantlets were 1.6-5.6 times and 1.2 -1.3 times respectively compared with non- transgenic plants.This suggested that the transgenic plantlets had the physiological and biochemical characteristics of salt tolerant plants.
