Abstract
The famous American writer Hemingway is good at creating short stories. He uses dialogues to develop the plots, tell the stories and clarify the themes in many of his works. He employs the simplest words to express the richest and strongest emotion. This article aims at displaying the little boy＇s composure and calmness in the face of ＂death＂ by analyzing the dialogues in Hemingway＇s short story ＂A Day＇s Wait＂.关键词
