Abstract
S-100--"Universal Hydrographic Data Model" is a new international standard on hydrographic published by IHO, of which "Spatial Schema" describes geometry types and their relationship and takes a basic and key role in describing, storing and using hydrographic geographical data. Construction principles of geometries in S-100 Spatial Schema was summarized from the view of topology; the architecture, inheritance relationship, usage and construction method of geometry types were analyzed, then comparisons with old standard was made. Accordingly it was concluded that spatial schema in S-100 had features of mathematics rigor, flexibility and extensibility, and there was also an error about type inheritance and a shortage that unable to describe the multi-lines and multi-areas.关键词
