摘要

Abstract

LaMgAl11O19 phosphors codoped with Yb and Mn ions were prepared by a co-precipitation method.The luminescent properties of the LaMgAl11O19: Yb,Mn phosphors were investigated at room temperature.A broad emission band centered at 504nm was observed due to the electronic transitions from the excited state 4f135d to the ground state 4f14 of Yb2+.At the same time,an energy transfer from the Yb^2+ to Mn^2+ ions was also observed in LaMgAl11O19: Yb,Mn.The energy transfer process may involve the 4f135d and 4f14 levels of Yb^2+ and the 4T1 and 6A1 levels of the Mn^2+.It is suggested that this phosphor could be applied in light emitting diodes(LEDs).
