Abstract
In order to enhance the gas permeability of polyethylene film,polyethylene/polydimethylsiloxane(PE/PDMS) blend film with 1%~5% PDMS was prepared by blow-molding method.Structure of the blend film was investigated by scanning electron microscopy,and gas permeability of the blend film was tested as well.As a result,PDMS particles dispersed in polythene matrix are stretched into strips during the process of blow-molding,and the gas permeability of the blend film cannot be significantly enhanced by adding PDMS compared with conventional polyethylene film.The gas permeability of PE/PDMS blend film was interpreted by gas-resistance model of composite polymer film,so it is suggested that the gas permeability of PE/PDMS blend film could be greatly increased only when PDMS particles penetrate into the PE film matrix.关键词
