科学转型视角下的中国城乡规划学科建设元思考
A Study on Building the Discipline of Urban and Rural Planning from the Perspective of Scientific Transformation

Abstract
Rationalization and Chinese localization are the key for the healthy development of China' s urban and rural planning discipline. Following this line of thinking, this paper chooses the subjective matter, knowledge system and methodology in planning as the main areas of inquiry. Based on a historical review, the paper tries to examine the basic framework of urban and rural planning discipline from the perspective of modern scientific transformation. The paper argues that the primary subject matter of urban and rural planning is "human-space" relation system and a multi-scalar and indivisible whole around the "human-space" relations. The knowledge system must include cognitive progress in a diverse range of disciplines that includes philosophy, science and technology. In terms of methodology, the paper suggests that multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary approach must be taken.关键词
