Abstract
Huang Shizhong is a well-known democratic revolutionary and also a novelist in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. After the Revolution of 1911, he was killed with unwarranted charges by Chen Jiongming so that his name is not as well-known as other modern novelists. Yah Tingliang, in his book Researches on Huang Shizhong＇s Evolutional Career and Fictional Career, published by People Publishing House, has studied his case of injustice and expounded on the importance of his literary works in modern literature. Yan＇s book is the represen- tative achievement in this field. Song Lian＇s Annals, compiled by Xu Yongming, is a new book of complete Song Lian Annals not only by absorbing merits of other related works and also by citing rich record events, extensive in- formation and knowledge.关键词
