Abstract
It maybe happen subsynchronous resonance (SSR) in some cases, which lead to damage generator shaft in series compensated system. Gate-Controlled Series Capacitors (GCSC) can effectively mitigate or eliminate subsynchronous resonance. This investigation was done based on the IEEE First Benchmark Model and shafting model. Turn-off pulse generator with zero crossing detectors is used for GCSC controlling to break down the subsynehronous resonance happened conditions in order to damp SSR. The Matlab Simulink is employed to simulate the effect on stresses of shaft. The simulations results show that it can inhibit subsynchronous resonance.关键词
