基于三点电流测量的输电线路行波故障定位新方法
A New Fault Location Scheme for Transmission Lines Based on Traveling Waves of Three Measurements

Abstract
As much progress has been made on the on-line monitoring of transmission lines,a new fault location scheme for transmission lines is proposed in the paper based on local mean decomposition(LMD) on fault current traveling waves of three measurements.It can reduce the calculating error on the propagation velocity of the traveling wave comparing with existing traveling wave schemes for fault location.It works in the following main steps.Firstly,the local mean decomposition is applied to aerial mode component of each measured current wave,and the arrival time of the initial traveling wave can be detected according to the first sudden arising of frequency in the instantaneous curve of the first product function(PF) obtained through LMD.Secondly,the faulted segment is determined through comparing the phase angles of measured currents at two ends of a line segment,and the wave velocity of the fault current is obtained by the ratio of the length of healthy line segment to the difference of the time that the wave travels through this segment.Finally,the fault point can be determined according to the two-terminal traveling wave fault location formula.Fault location simulations were done with all kinds of faults in a power line based on the proposed scheme.The results show that it has higher fault location accuracy than the schemes based on either wavelet transform or Hilbert-Huang transform.关键词
