A Parallel Calculation for Multi-Area Reactive Power Optimization Based on REI Equivalent

Abstract
This paper presents a method of applying REI equivalent technology to give a parallel solution for multi-area power system reactive-power optimization problem. The external systems of each area are simplified with REI equivalent, specific methods for solving key problems in terms of phase angles transfer, equivalent network initial parameters calculation, outer coordination calculation and REI equivalent network correction. Parallel calculation model which is suitable for multi-area reactive power parallel optimization calculation is established. The reactive power optimization parallel calculation is implemented using Matlab parallel computing platform. Testing results on IEEE 39-bus system and a 695-bus practical system show the efficiency, advantages and drawbacks of the proposed method compared to centralized optimization method and the Ward equivalent based parallel calculation algorithm.关键词
