Study on the type of earthquake sequence at the edge of Ordos Block

Abstract
114 earthquake sequences at the edge of Ordos block from 1970 to 2010 are analyzed. The results show that among the 114 earthquake sequences 57% is the mainshock-aftershock type, 32% for the isolated type and 11% for multi-shock type. In the three types of earthquake, the mainshock-aftershock type presents even distribution, the isolated type accounts for a rather high percentage in the southwest edge, south edge and southeast edge of the bloc, the multi-shock type mostly occurred in the north edge and northeast edge of the block.关键词
